When to, Where to Prepping

Here's a question I get a lot when my clients sit in my chair... When to wash your hair... And where (brands). I use where to describe a brand because it should be an oasis in your shower, especially for your hair.
So anyways, I get off track, when you wash your hair is all up to how comfortable you are with your natural oils. If you believe in the once a week or every other day trend then you're A+! But if you're like me or anyone with a European background, then you pretty much wash your hair everyday.

Fine hair tends to get tangled up if you try and go a day or two without washing. So, what I do is switch between two different shampoo/conditioners. That
helps your hair maintain a healthy balance without over cleansing or conditioning. If you feel like your hair sticks to your head, Goldwell DualSenses  Ultra Volume line is good. The bamboo extract roughs up the cuticle at the root and gives your hair an all over bump in volume. It also comes with a 60 Second Treatment to give your scalp a fresh feeling and add extra bounce.

Medium hair stays in shape but it will get knotty and will frizz, so to keep that from happening, I recommend wetting the hair
then when you get out, use a detangler such as Goldwell DualSenses Color Serum Spray. It's perfect for combing through and combatting frizz and knots. Then on the wash days, use DualSenses Color Fade Stop Shampoo and Detangling Conditioner. These products are salon exclusive!

Finally, coarse hair. You're probably thinking, "what is course hair?". Women or men with very thick unruly dry hair that
is hard to maintain with the average products. Clients with this hair definitely benefit from going a while without washing. The natural oils have time to disperse throughout the scalp and strands which so desperately need it. KMS California makes an awesome line for this hair type. TAMEFRIZZ & MOISTREPAIR are the best to maintain a healthy, moisturized scalp and healthy strong hair. They both consist of shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioner, mask, and a styling creme.

KMS California's products are all free of harsh ingredients that would further inhibit you from healthy hair. What I like to call store brands are okay if you don't really care about your hair. But for most of you, it displays your care for appearance, your natural beauty, and helps bring out your best features. I love to help my clients realize all the fun things they can do with their hair to bring out what makes them unique.
